About
Champions of Employee Voice & Wellbeing
We’re here because we care. Employee listening can unlock an organization’s potential and gives voice to employees on the ground.
Why “Teal Elephant”?
Elephants have terrible vision—they can’t see clearly beyond 10 meters. But they have exceptional hearing and memory.
Organizations have similar struggles. It’s hard to clearly see what’s going on — to know how different employees are feeling, how managers are affecting their subordinates, and the impact of the organization’s culture.
At Teal Elephant, we know that our vision is flawed. So we turn to our hearing and memory. We conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations to truly listen to employees, clients, and patients. And we store everything, using our memory to track changes over time. We don’t want to guess what’s wrong based on leadership’s hunches; we want some validation on the ground level.
And teal? We just like the color.
What’s Important
Our Values
At Teal Elephant, our values are more than just words on a wall - they’re the principles that guide every interaction, decision, and recommendation that we make.
-
We believe in the power of human connections. Every person matters, and every relationship counts. Our work is founded on the understanding that when we truly values and support one another, both people and organizations thrive.
-
Sharing feedback requires courage and vulnerability. We honor this by creating safe spaces for honest conversations and handling insights with the utmost care and confidentiality. Trust isn’t just given - it’s earned, and we earn it every day.
-
We listen with curiosity, not assumptions. Rather than simply confirming what leadership thinks they know, we approach the data with an open mind, ready to uncover new insights and perspectives that might challenge the status quo.
-
While we lead with heart, we deliver with science. Our recommendations are grounded in data, research, and contextual understanding. We don't sugar-coat findings—we present them clearly and actionably, ensuring you have the true insights needed to drive meaningful change.

NICE TO MEET YOU
Meet Alyssa
One third of our lives are spent at work – yet for many of us, those hours are marked by stress, disconnection, and dread. I've experienced both the crushing lows and soaring highs of workplace life, which fueled my personal mission and career transition: to transform organizations into environments where people don't just get by to collect their paycheck, but truly thrive.
My PhD journey to pursue Positive Organizational Psychology was a humbling one. I expected it to be difficult academically, but didn’t anticipate a complete recalibration and perspective change - a profound new self-awareness, a prioritization of health, wellness, and balance, and an insatiable thirst for continuous learning. Those changes continue to inspire my work and character today.
Teal Elephant was a culmination of both my experience and my passion. I’ve helped organizations of all sizes conduct and audit their annual surveys, pulse surveys, evaluations, assessments, interviews, trainings, and workshops. I’ve developed reports and share-outs with advanced data analyses and visualizations. I’ve integrated my research — on employee engagement, burnout, workplace connections, healthy work-life balance, remote/hybrid work, and leadership development — to support leaders and teams. And now, I work with exceptional individuals to elevate employee listening and support flourishing organizations.
